She Performed In Three Amas Productions With Leading Roles. First Production Le'Ruz Performed In Was 'Godspell" As Sonia The Seductress, Second Production Was "Footloose" As The Fast Talking Rusty And Third Production Was "On The Town" As Ms. Turnstiles For June.
During Le'Ruz Time Period In AMAS Le'Ruz Had The Great Honor Of Being In A Couple Of Benefit Concerts Sharing The Stage With African American Broadway Legends Such As Vivian Reed, Stephanie Pope, Disco Star Freda Payne And More. Le'Ruz Was Given The Honor Of Receiving A Scholarship From AMAS Theatre To Continue Her Studies Which Was Presented To Her By Maurice Hines At "The Raisin" Benefit Concert After Geoffrey Holder And Carmen De Lavallade Were Honored. After being in theatre Le’Ruz La Rose entered the film industry where she was seen on major tv networks. She was seen on Law & Order on NBC, CSI- NY on CBS, “Cashmere Mafia starring Lucy Liu on ABC channel 7, MTV VMA’s Commercial and more. Acting have always been exciting to Le’Ruz however her deep desires was to always be a film director. Currently Le’Ruz La Rose is a member of the NYWIFT (New York Women In Film & Television) and can be found in IMDb. Her dreams came true when she directed her first music video for her single “The Way I Feel,” As Actress Singer And Dancer. “The Way I Feel,” made Le’Ruz an award winning music video director. More directing opportunities came to Le’Ruz one of which was seen on Ch. 41 Univision. Due to these directing opportunities Le’Ruz La Rose created BELRUZ26 Films. Le’Ruz La Rose began dancing when she was 3 years old when her mother taught her how to dance her traditional Garifuna dance called Punta. In Los Angeles Le’Ruz was in a Punta dance group where they performed in multiple events such as the Los Angeles Hispanic Day Parade. When Le’Ruz was 7 years old she was in a Belizean Garifuna Grand Ball dance group. Once Le’Ruz and her family moved to New York her mother made Le’Ruz and her brother a duo dance group. Their first performance in NYC was in a talent show at the Harlem State Building. Growing up Le’Ruz always loved watching Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Paula Abdul on MTV. She would freestyle trying to imitate her idols dance moves to perfection.
As Le’Ruz got older growing up in the South Bronx she got accustomed to the Latin Puerto Rican culture. At the age of 13 Le’Ruz joined a Puerto Rican dance group called “Estrellita Del Caribe” where she learned how to dance Salsa (Latin Jazz), Merengue, Bomba and Plena. Estrellita Del Caribe performed at the Botanical Gardens, Lehman College Stage, Hostos College and more. For summer youth Le’Ruz work at Teens In Motion where she was given the opportunity to perform as Janet Jackson for a “Rhythm Of Nation” for a talent show which boost Le’Ruz performance confidence. Furthermore, while being in Teens In Motion Le’Ruz had the privilege of working with choreographer, creative director Shalimar Davis co-founder of “The Ken Project” and “The Dollhouse.”
Le’Ruz had a couple of dance leading roles in AMAS Musical Theatre productions. Although Le’Ruz was not a trained dancer her abilities landed her a job as a Alvin Ailey staffer. On 2007 Le’Ruz La Rose worked at the Ailey Summer Camp as a group leader/ choreographer for students 10-14yrs old. As La Rose grew in her artistic career she became a respected dancer. She’s worked with choreographers such as Robin Dunn and Monica Johnson as a member of singing group “Bittar Sweet.” Le’Ruz worked with Publicist Tonya Payton and landed a choreographer gig for artist showcases at Sony Studios. She later became a artist developer/choreographer for B-Boy records artist Cliche’ in the mid 2000’s. Currently Le’Ruz La Rose as a actress singer has included her dancing in her music videos she directs as well as her 30 minute concert “Le’Ruz La Rose One Woman Show.” -Le'Ruz La Rose Performing Arts
